 Co-Founders

In 2007, Deepak Mehta established Moksh Art Gallery, with his daughter, Meghna Mehta Chhabria, joining as a co-founder in 2016.

Prior to founding Moksh, Deepak operated his printing business from Kala Ghoda for three decades, witnessing its evolution into Mumbai’s premier art district. His deep passion for art stemmed from engaging conversations with artists and curators at the shows he frequented during that time. As a novice buyer, he noticed that the market primarily focused on the affluent, lacking credible platforms promoting affordable art by emerging artists. This realization sparked the inception of Moksh!

Growing up surrounded by her father's art collection and captivated by his vivid accounts of exhibitions he attended at the National Gallery of Modern Art and Jehangir Art Gallery, Meghna's love for art blossomed well before her involvement with Moksh. Following a 12-year career in the financial services industry, culminating in her role as Head of Operations at JPMorgan Asset Management in India, she made a deliberate shift. With a keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for travel & discovering diverse cultures, Meghna now oversees client relations and operations at Moksh, actively collaborating with artists to enhance the gallery's collection.
